Dr. Jassim Mohammed Abdo, Deputy President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education at the University of Zakho, participated in an official visit to the Representation Office of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Washington, D.C., as part of an academic delegation representing the University of Zakho, Nawroz University, and Mergasor Technical Institute, in coordination with the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil.

The visit emphasized strengthening academic and institutional cooperation between higher education institutions in the Kurdistan Region and their counterparts in the United States. Discussions were held on research collaboration opportunities, academic exchange, and international partnerships.

Dr. Jassim emphasized the University of Zakho's commitment to academic excellence and international integration, and highlighted the importance of advancing continuous collaborations that support higher education and scientific research.

This visit reflects the ongoing efforts of the University of Zakho to expand its global partnerships and strengthen its international academic presence.
